Craxel is on a mission to provide a step change in the productivity and efficiency of the world. AI-powered decision making has great promise to help accomplish this very ambitious goal, but its not going to be possible without fast, efficient, and secure access to data. Currently, the prevalent approach to data is akin to trying to push a boulder up an ever growing mountain of data.
If you think of information as being part of a digital library, then the digital card catalog for that library is broken! So much so that many data management platforms don't even have one anymore - they function by looking at every piece of information in the library for each data access. This is pushing the boulder up the ever growing mountain of data! I bet very few people are aware that to scan 1 terabyte in 1 second requires partitioning the work across10,000 disk drives and 5,000 processors. Clearly that's not realistic, so it takes a lot longer than 1 second. Imagine a mountain of data with 1000s of terabytes. That anyone does this sort of thing is proof that the digital card catalog technology (indexing) is currently broken.
As the U.S. battles China for AI supremacy both economically and in national security, we are not going to win with this, frankly, with a brute force approach to data. I won't call out the product names here, but the U.S. government is buying them in incredibly large amounts. In other words, the U.S. government is pushing a boulder up a mountain of data that is getting bigger and bigger every single day.
Same thing is happening in cybersecurity, we're not going to have real time cyber defense unless we change our approach to data so we have real time observability over incredibly vast quantities of data.
Craxel has the solution to this problem and its available in Black Forest, the knowledge infrastructure for AI powered-decision making.
