Introduction
This statement sets out the steps Craxel UK Ltd has taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or our supply chains. It is published voluntarily and follows the principles of Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Craxel UK Ltd is part of the Craxel group, which also includes Craxel, Inc. in the United States. This statement covers the activities of Craxel UK Ltd and reflects the standards we apply across the group.
Our business
Craxel is a software company serving defence, government, public sector and regulated commercial customers. We develop and license the Black Forest knowledge infrastructure platform and provide related professional services. Craxel UK Ltd operates from Belfast, Northern Ireland, and employs a small technical and commercial team.

Our supply chains
As a software business our supply chain is relatively short and concentrated in professional and technology services. It primarily consists of:
Cloud computing and infrastructure providers.
Software and technology vendors.
Professional services subcontractors and independent consultants.
Recruitment and staffing suppliers.
Office supplies, facilities management and related services.
Risk assessment
We assess the overall risk of modern slavery in our operations as low. Our workforce is directly employed, paid above statutory minimums and subject to right to work checks. We consider the areas of higher inherent risk to be hardware manufacturing further down the technology supply chain, facilities and cleaning services, and any use of labour agencies. We focus our due diligence accordingly.
Due diligence
We conduct due diligence on new suppliers and review existing suppliers periodically.
We include modern slavery and ethical trading provisions in our supplier contracts where appropriate.
We assess the risk of modern slavery in our supply chains and prioritise higher risk categories.
We maintain a mechanism for employees and suppliers to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
Training and awareness
We provide awareness guidance to employees involved in procurement, recruitment and supplier management so that they understand the indicators of modern slavery and know what to do if they suspect it is taking place.

Anyone who suspects that modern slavery or human trafficking may be occurring in our business or supply chains should contact us at info@craxel.com. Concerns raised in good faith will be investigated and treated confidentially.
